First time in her Bumbo Chair

Today was our first try at the Bumbo chair and Abby did great. It seems like it was overnight, but all of a sudden her neck is strong enough for her to sit in it by herself. She looks like such a big girl in her seat. I love it. I just had to share these with you:

Rockstar

I couldn't resist a photo shoot in this outfit. Stylin' baby!

Abby and Will hung out for a bit after our staff meeting. (which really means I put them side by side and took some pictures while they looked at each other.) It is fun to see how fast they are growing. Last time they took a picture together Abby was 6 weeks old and Will was 2 weeks old.

Remember this one?

Now Abby is 14 weeks old and Will is 10 weeks old.

Long day?

Long day?

Our little musician?

Abby has loved her time at the piano with Joe since she was born. When she was younger, there were a few times when I would run out to the store and in the meantime she would start crying uncontrollably for him. After he made sure all her needs were met, he would try to soothe her by doing one of his favorite things...playing music! I would come home to find her either really calm or really excited in her dad's lap enjoying every note. (I posted a video on facebook a while back!)

Now she doesn't fit on her dad's lap the way she used to, the time is just as special! It is the sweetest thing to watch. This is what I found when I came home from the grocery store the other night. Not only was Abby enjoying the music with her dad, we like to think she is trying to sing along!

Weekend with 'Aunt' Chrissy

Chrissy, one of my best friends from high school, came to visit this weekend. We had a great time. Whenever she is about to leave, we always talk about how we wish we still lived in the same zip code. I miss her already.

Abby & Aunt Chrissy

Our first ice cream trip of the season to Cone Zone.

Joe made all three of us laugh!

My handsome husband all ready for his race. We loved being out on the beautiful day cheering him on. We can't wait to do it again next year. It's was a great family activity. I'm thinking I will run with him next year...which really means I will run the race and after the first 5 steps I will be eating Joe's dust because his legs are SO much longer than mine. :) Chrissy is coming back to run with me.

I LOVE him!

C'mon Joey! You can do it.

Sprinting to the finish. What a stud! :)

Typical us.

Abby waking up from her nap...not really in the mood for pictures...
....oh wait just kidding.

If I had to sum up our weekend in a few words:

abby time. icecream. sunshine. shoulders. 5k. yellow signs. diet pepsi and blistex (Chrissy's middle name). movie night (atleast for a few of us). oreos. refrigerator breaking = lots of spoiled food. abby's nose (sorry Chrissy, you can excuse yourself from the room now). Fox 23 news. "porkchop". church at Open Arms. ATL. cardigans. fun.

Laughter!

Some new things we have been enjoying with Abby this week:
  • Abby used to bat randomly at the toys hanging over her playmat, but just this week she started grabbing them strategically and swinging them back and forth.
  • She is a copycat! When we laugh in front of her, she mimics us (the best she can). It is so funny to watch her try to get the sounds out. Just to test the theory and see if she was really copying us....I stuck my tongue out at her and she stuck her little tongue back out at me.
She continues to bring so much joy and laughter into our life each day!

wiped out.

Abby and her Grandma (my mom)
On Sunday, Abby and I spent the afternoon with my mom at a bridal shower. It was a really great afternoon. We had a lot of fun!

Hamming it up for the camera!

3 months old!

(In this picture, she is actually in the middle of talking to me and getting really excited!)

I can't believe our little girl is three months old already! She is the sweetest...so alert and responsive. No doctor's visit this month. They skip a month and we don't have to go back until her 4 month checkup and 2nd round of shots.

Easter in Florida

Pingiczer family tradition is to spend Easter together at Mama's house in Florida. It's a time we look forward to every year. The weather is always beautiful and Mama's house is so relaxing. We have lots of quality time together (playing games, taking walks, sitting by the pool), lots of time relaxing by the pool and enjoying the sun (and in my case catching up on my reading...I read 3 books this trip and for me that is a great vacation!), lots of great meals together and lots of laughter (there is always roll on the floor laughing moments when Mama starts telling her jokes at the dinner table)! It is fun that Abby is now a part of it all.

This year, we drove seven hours from PCB on the last day of the conference to get to Mama's for Easter. We are so thankful that we were already in Florida because it made the trip possible this year. The car ride was pretty long for Abby, but she was a trooper. I'm glad we don't have to do any more long car rides until she is older.

Uncle Cory changing a diaper for the first time. (He made me promise I wouldn't put this on facebook, but I told him it had to go on the blog.) He's a natural.

Abby's first dip in the pool! She loves water.

"Mom...stop taking pictures of me!"

We finished off our trip with a night in Philly visiting Grammy, Granddaddy, Uncle Tommy and Tori. It was short, but sweet. We are looking forward to our longer visit with them in May.
