Head Shoulders Knees and Toes

Having fun with Uncle C

More more!

Chicken Paprikas and Palacsinta a.k.a. Nagymama came to visit

Aunt Mimi left and the very next day Nagymama arrived! When I said we have been blessed with visitors I meant it. Mama took lots of pictures, so I'm excited to share the fun we had!

Day 1: Off to the Wapp to spend the day with family and pick Mama up. It had been a while since Christmas. We enjoyed our day there so much. As you can see, Abby was all dressed and ready to go. And, in case you are wondering, she grabbed her purse as we were walking out the door and put it on her arm like that!

Abby loves Cody! She followed him around everywhere barking at him. When he retreated under the table for a break, Abby followed him there too!

"Why doesn't he want to play?"

Mama brought Abby two new baby dolls. One plays peek-a-boo and the other has a handmade- by-Mama sweater and hat. That's not the best part...Mama made Abby a sweater and hat to match. Pictures to come.

"Hi Papa!"

"C'mon Cody, let's play!"

Mama fell asleep on the way home, so Abby tried to wake her...

...then she gave up!

Back at home, Mama gets a glimpse of our daily life:

Before bed, Daddy parades Abby around like a princess.

Day 2: Abby and I took Mama on a walk to the library, one of our favorite things to do on a sunny morning.

Abby was getting cooking lessons from Mama. On the menu today...some of our favorite Hungarian delights: Vegetable soup, Chicken Paprikas and Cucumber Salad. Abby couldn't get enough. She even munched on some raw kohlrabi as Mama was putting it in the soup. Such an adventurous eater.

Uncle Cory comes up for a visit and to take Mama out for the evening.

love this.

Mama bought Abby a baby cradle. After we put it together and taught Abby to how to rock her babies, she took it apart and tried to climb into it. I wonder what she will do when it's time for a baby sister or brother! :)

Day 3: A morning at the park.

"That's a good look on you, Mama!"

Day 4: lots of time to play outside and take walks

Abby reached out for Mama to hold her hand on the walk.

"Airplane, airplane, fly fly away!"

As we put Abby to bed, Joe and I rejoiced as we thought about how we got married 4 years ago that night. Praise God. He is so good. Then, Abby gave us one of the best anniversary gifts ever. As we were praying for her before bed, she said Jesus! Sweetest moment ever! And now she continues to say it. Today, we were in Target and she kept calling for Da-Da and Desus. Melt my heart!

After our babe was asleep, Mama babysat while Joe and I went out to celebrate! We had a great time together! I'm so thankful for this man!

Day 5: house hunting business + pool season opener (woot!) + out to dinner

Mommy: Abby, where's your belly button? Abby (lifting up her shirt and pointing): BA-Booof

Thank you for coming to spend time with us, Mama! We love you. I'll wait patiently...but come back soon!

What a great week!
