I just love watching our girls read books together.
Rain for a week, but at least there was one little girl who was super excited about it. Any excuse to break out her run umbrella and rainboots! April showers bring May flowers.
When I dropped Ella off at school, I saw her artwork hanging on the wall. Ella and Mrs. Michaud on a camping trip together. :)
We love spontaneous play dates with our friends after school. Especially when we end up doing fun science experiments. Getting messy was half the fun!
Sometimes you just need your mommy...
A night of carnitas, chips and salsa, Megan's famous queso, kid friendly margarita punch, pinata cupcakes and great friends made for the perfect Cinco de Mayo!
We had a three year old who was bubbling with excitement! It's Friday night and time for the preschool dance.

After the dance and after we got the girls home and in bed, Uncle Cory arrived for the weekend. It was fun to have our favorite blue blood with us that night while we watched the Blue Bloods season finale.
This guy had us laughing until we couldn't keep our eyes open anymore. I came out of the bathroom after brushing my teeth to find this. Oh you know, just watching videos of dancing panda bears at midnight. :)
When you stay over at our house, it's a given that you will be woken up by the best wake up committee around!

A big breakfast of Nutella Stuffed French Toast called for a food coma nap at 9 AM. Ollie will always make you believe a little nap is the best idea!
Then, we all went our separate ways for the day. Cory had some meetings. Joe took Ella to a birthday party. Abby, Juliet and I spent the morning in the backyard gardening, swinging and crafting!
Our neighbors came over to visit for a bit and Abby was quick to get some quality time with little Callee.
Then, she gave Juliet a turn because she didn't want her to be jealous. :)
Meanwhile, Ella was at an Avenger birthday party learning some new things about superheroes and bad guys.
Our little Wonder Woman!
When I was five years old, I remember my daddy pulling me onto his lap one night after dinner and teaching me how to write my name in cursive. I felt like I was being given such a big girl skill. You can imagine how special I felt when I went to get my first library card and had to sign the back! So, when Abby asked me to teach her how to write her name in cursive, it was a pretty sweet moment. She is really getting the hang of it!
Juliet was taking notes and directing the family meeting!
It was spirit week at school. On decade day, Abby's class represented the fifties and Ella's class, the sixties. The fifties was easy for us because we were prepared with our gear from earlier in the year. The sixties took some research. After pulling it all together, Ella kept saying, "My outfit is mod inspired, while my glasses and pearls are Breakfast at Tiffany's." :)
Mason and Ella.
These little buddies make me smile.
Hanging with Ms. Ange!
We went to the doctor to check for pink eye and learned that Abby just has some serious seasonal allergies like her mom and dad. Sweet girl.
Looking like her momma
Juliet is loving her new swing and hanging with her big sisters. Her joy and smile are contagious.

Backyard lunchin' with my little ladies. It was a tall glass of iced tea in the sun kind of day!
Ella got herself dressed and then insisted I send Papa a message from her! She loves her Papa.
One afternoon, I looked up and saw this big girl standing in front of me. All of a sudden, my baby seemed a whole lot taller and grown!
Then, I remembered a picture of me when I was seven where I looked just like Abby at this age. Even the shirt was similar. We could be twins.
Speaking of twins...Look at these two.
I mean really...
All this love melts my heart.
During a total bedtime meltdown tonight:
Ella (while screaming and throwing the tantrum of the year): If you just let me, I'LL BE HAPPIER!
Me: No. I already told you no.
Ella: THEN I'M GOING TO BE INFINITY MAD AT YOU. THAT MEANS NEVERENDING! THAT IS REALLY REALLY MAD! This is NOT FAIR!
Me: I love you infinity!
Ella (turning over and hugging me tight): UGH!!!! I am so mad at you! I love you Mommy....
Our house is full of feelings! And to think she is only three! I love you infinity Bells!
And...3...2...1...she's out!
the aftermath...

Abby started to express a desire for a new Bible of her own. While she loves being able to read our story Bibles all by herself, she wanted her own big girl Bible that she could take to church with her and one that she could use to learn how to look up the Bible verses she is learning. Having our little girl ask us for a Bible so she can continue growing in the Word is just one of the sweetest answers to (many) prayers prayed over her throughout her six years and before she was even born. Yes, sweet girl! We pray that God's word continues to take root in your little heart and transform your life in the most beautiful ways as you know Him more. There are no words more powerful and no message more life changing.
She wasn't put to sleep with all of those animals tucked in tight around her, but when we came in to check on her, we found her like this.

Grammy and G-Diddy came to visit for the weekend. Ella started the morning on a walk with Grammy while Abby was at school and Juliet was napping. When you are the middle kid, these times are extra special.
Afternoon date with Grammy
After dinner, the girls took Grammy and G-Diddy to their school's musical production of Annie. They were so excited! Bonus: Seeing Abby's teacher, Mrs. Mueller, at the show and getting to sit next to her. Dream come true.
Sunshine and beautiful blooms. The beauty of spring on full display and brightening our days.
