June Snapshots

Our little princess has discovered the dress up bin and is loving her options!

The girls and I had a date to our school's production of the Lion King Jr.

When the Wheelmobile comes to town on your birthday and you have pretended to be a contestant on the show since you were 5, it seems like an obvious choice to make it a part of the celebrations. We may not have gotten our names picked for the live audition, but Megan and I had the best afternoon. Fun moment: We had to walk through the casino to get to the event and the man totally stopped to check my ID to make sure I was 18. Not bad on my 33rd birthday! 😆

Then, I came home to my sweet welcoming committee lining the driveway excited to show me all the surprises they worked on while I was gone. It was a great day. I'm thankful for these 33 years! This life is such a gift.

Surprise day with Grandma and everyone was super excited!

When it's little sister's turn for a date night with daddy and the picture makes my heart explode. It's an amazing thing when little girls know their daddy's love so fully. And these girls have one of the very best.

Uncle Cory and Bella came for a visit and to see one of Ella's spring soccer games.

Water balloon fight!

When I ask Juliet to hold my hand in the store, she's all..."I've got this, Mommy!"

This is definitely not the cutest or most flattering picture of me, but I leave it here to remember these days. Though there is often little personal space in this season of life, there is never a shortage of little girls who want/need to be near me. Something about this picture speaks to the real beauty of motherhood for me and reminds me of the constant gift it is, even in the sleeping crowded bed situation. (This is usually the reality in the early hours of the morning, after Joe has gotten up to enjoy coffee in a quiet house. The girls seem to sense it and crawl into bed with me and fall back to sleep until we have to get up for the day.)

After lunch, Ella told me she needed to get ready for Florida. I thought she was going to gather some bathing suits or something. Sweet girl sat at the dining room table for an hour practicing her Hungarian. Wait for the proud smile toward the end of the video. She told me she thinks she really sounds like Nagymama after she says that last word.

The girls and I got to be a part of the send off for Anna Kate's 8th grade dance!

Cutest little entrepreneurs on the block! Lemonade, anyone?

I love this man so much! One of my favorite things in the world is watching him be a daddy to our little girls. Also, for the first time, all three girls had their own gifts for their dad that they made at school and it was the best! Picture frames, matching tie dye shirts and homemade cards. I was in charge of the Father's Day burger bar and dessert!

With only two more days of school and beautiful weather, it was hard to convince the girls that it wasn't actually summer vacation just yet and that they still needed to go to bed at a decent time.
