Sweet Moments with Daddy and Jesus

If you listen closely you can hear Abby's sweet voice. This is one of my favorite hymns. Abby and I sing it at bedtime every night. We showed her Carrie Underwood's version on YouTube one morning and she asks to watch it almost everyday.



I get goosebumps as I think of how God is being glorified in both moments. I can't help but imagine the pleased smile on God's face as he hears the beautiful voice of a little girl filled with childlike faith (and her Daddy) singing with all her heart about Him and the beautiful voice of a famous country star singing to millions about the God of the universe. It makes my soul sing!

Ella: 1 Month Old

One month already? Where does the time go? Actually...as I'm writing this we are at the six week mark, but the pictures were taken on Ella's one month birthday. Proof of one way life is different with two little ones. There is just so much more to do and so little time. Blogging our family's stories is still a priority to me, so it might be two weeks later, but here it is!

Height: 22 inches 

nursing like a champ about every 3 hours 

sleeping for a nice five hour stretch at night from about 10-3

loving your sister more than ever with coos and adoring eyes 

enjoying your surroundings more and more

"talking" a lot
 smiling 

used to sleep through anything, but one month =change in alertness

enjoys baths, your swing and reading with your big sister

 totally in love with your Daddy (two Daddy's girls coming right up!) 

favorite place to sleep is right on Mommy's chest

a perfect fit right where she belongs in our little family :) 

...and just in case anyone forgot...Abby wanted to remind you...she's 2!!

Olympic Fever

We have Olympic fever in our home. Abby and Joe can't stop humming the theme song. Joe and I have been up late every night with Ella watching the games. Every time Abby sees an American flag on T.V., she says, "Look, it's the Owimpics"...even when it's a campaign speech. We watched clips of Gabby Douglass on YouTube and Abby cheered for her "flips"! I think she's inspired....

I love her so much!
