Juliet wasn't sure about her first bath. She screamed her little heart out for the first half of the bath. Then, she suddenly became very still and relaxed. The best part of bath time was Oliver's protective place over Juliet the whole time. He even tried to help bath her by licking her head. We're pretty sure Oliver thinks Juliet is his puppy.
Ella and I took Juliet to the doctor for her first post hospital weight check.
Ella was fascinated to learn she used to be small enough for that baby scale.
Some of our favorite Ella-isms:
Excuse me = "Accuse me"
Absolutely = "Absolupely"
At school, Ella was asked to complete this sentence. If you had to pack your suitcase, what would you put in it?
Ella: Whatever Mommy tells me to and my dolly
Ella was all ready for school and went out into the kitchen to talk to her Daddy.
E: Daddy I have two questions for you. 1. Do you love my hair? 2. Will you steam my dress it's kind of wrinkly
all ready for picture day
Juliet met her soon to be favorite babysitter and dance teacher. A visit from Miss Margaret is always sweet, but then she brought Joe and I our first Toasted Graham Latte on top of it (yum!).
Alana and Jamie came for a visit on their way into town. As always, I was reminded of how much I wish we lived in the same zip code.
Multiple times a day you can find Abby standing over Juliet and saying
(usually in full blown dramatics with a hand over her heart), "Oh isn't
she just pwecious? She is just the sweetest thing. Juliet is so
pwecious, Mommy!"
A couple of weeks ago, we had a house full of visitors who were excited to meet Juliet.
On Friday night, Grammy and G-Diddy arrived to a house full of excited girls. Abby and Ella had the special big sister privilege of a night out at the hotel pool with Grammy and G-Diddy. They went for a swim and pizza party, while Mommy and Daddy (and Juliet) enjoyed our first date night in since the baby arrived. It was a special treat for everyone!
Juliet meets Grammy!
G-Diddy and Abby playing on her new loom. G-Diddy mastered headband making in minutes.
Ella was over the moon excited about the new Shopkins Grammy and G-Diddy brought for her.
On Saturday, Tommy and Tori came to spend the day with us. We made history when we decided to go apple picking. It was both Juliet and Tori's first time. Juliet dressed perfectly for the occasion with the outfit Grandma gave her.
It was also the first day the girls started calling Tori, "aunt". We love Tori and so do our girls. We
have some excited flower girls who are ready for a wedding!
Uncle Tommy meets his third niece.
Juliet interrupted our plans to apple pick the weekend before with her surprise arrival, so it seemed only fitting that our little love joined us the following weekend in her sweet apple outfit (even if she slept through the whole thing). It felt so good to be out in the fresh fall air!
Ella paired up with G-Diddy and went hunting for apples to fill her bag.
Tori was pretty excited about her very first hand picked apple!
Our first family of five pic. I'm in love.
Abby was determined and worked really hard to fill her bag with the "perfect" apples this year!
Uncle Tommy and Aunt Tori took the girls to get their faces painted. How cute are they?
I hung out with this guy while he did my picking for me! :)
We even managed to get a group shot!
I hung out with my three girls while the rest of the gang braved the really long cider and donut line! To me, there is nothing like the first taste of the season. It was one of the best post baby treats ever. A total perk to having a fall baby!
Oliver was happy when G-Diddy decided to take a quick nap. He might be a dog, but he is all for quality time with his grandparents.
One of the best parts of the weekend was when Tori and Tommy asked Abby and Ella to be flower girls in their wedding this summer. Our girls play wedding all the time and when they are not playing wedding, they are talking about weddings. So, asking them to be in a wedding is not lost on either one of them. Of course, they both gladly accepted the invitation, but Ella suggested a specific revision.
