Aunt Mimi visits from Hollywood

The last time we saw Aunt Mimi, Abby looked like this:


She was just 3 months old! So, you can imagine the fun we had when one of my best friends, Amy, flew in from L.A. f0r a much needed visit. We are determined to live in the same zip code again at some point in our lives! Until then, we enjoy every drop of time we get together.

Amy helped me get ready for Kelly's baby shower. We stayed up late the night before making bumblebee cakeballs, tying together all the other cute yellow and black accents and of course dancing around the dining room to Pandora's 90's pop flashback station.

Abby ran after Aunt Mimi everywhere she went (including banging on the bathroom door) and called after her as soon as she left the room. Abby named her "Nyahhhhh".

When it was time for me to drive Amy to the airport, Joe and Abby came outside to wave goodbye. Amy gave Abby a hug and said to call her soon! We walked to the car and Abby started yelling for "Nyahhh". When Amy turned around, Abby had a cell phone up to her ear talking away! Walking around having conversations on her cell phone is Abby's new favorite past time, but it is not limited to cell phones. She uses any inanimate object she can find to call people, including but not limited to shoes, blocks and Auntie Anne's pretzels. Her conversation with Aunt Mimi went something like this: "Nyah! hoo hum bum boo nee nee ha ha ho" and then lots of kisses!

What a way to end a great weekend together!

Miss Jess and Miss Ashley

Our friends Jess and Ashley graduated from UAlbany's grad school a few weeks ago and just moved out of town to start their next phase of life. Abby adores them both and we miss them already!

Bye bye Miss Jess and Miss Ashley! Date nights won't be the same without you. Love, your favorite rental baby.

Of course, I can't leave out a picture of some of Abby's best helpers, Will's sisters, Lucy and Anna Kate. Samantha must be playing nearby, but all three girls promised Abby before she was born that they would teach her how to do lots of fun little girl things! We love this family!

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Abby loves to go Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Every time the song finishes she says "MoHHHH!" (also known as "more"). Of course, as soon as we took the camera out this morning in the middle of our singing, she just couldn't stay focused and act natural. After all, there was a camera there she needed to pose for! And you wonder why she got the nickname "Hamsteak"! :) Loving this morning with my sweet little girl in her rockstar jammies!
