Sweet October continued...

The end of October/Mama's visit as captured by Mama's camera:

Dinnertime is always filled with lots of songs (and hand motions)!

Always excited after a trip to the library...after all there is a whole new stack of books to read.

Abby wasn't feeling good, so she took her nap on Mommy and Daddy's bed that afternoon.

Abby loved to help Mama cook and loved to eat seconds of everything she made.

A glimpse into our animated story time before bed...

Snuggled right in and relaxing with Mama.

We visited my dad's house when Mama was here and got to spend our last afternoon with my sweet puppy, Cody. He wasn't really a puppy anymore. He was actually 13, but he was my baby and the best dog anyone could have ever had. We are all brokenhearted because we had to say goodbye, but thankful to have been blessed with the best dog anyone could have ever hoped for! So many years, so many sweet memories and such a good friend. We love you Cody!

Abby adored Cody too!

When Abby is at her Papa's house, they love to blow bubbles together. When they are done, Abby runs around the house yelling, "Papa! Moh Buboooos!" until he starts blowing them again!

22 months old

Growing up so fast...

22 months old

Basketball, Michael Jackson and the Potty

The month of November has been packed with lots of fun things, which might be why Thanksgiving is in two days and I can't wrap my mind around where the time went. Though that seems to be the way it feels every year, doesn't it? So, before we all eat lots of turkey and there are even more pictures I have to share, here are some highlights from the last few weeks.

We had a Taco Night Fiesta with a bunch of friends. It was a fun reason to get all of our families together and just hang out for hours. There were 23 of us and nine were four and under! It was chaotic and lots of fun!

Emily came to visit, which is always fun! It took Abby about 2.5 minutes to warm up to her and then Abby wanted Emily to read every book she owns! Abby calls her "Em-mem-mee". Precious!

Lazy Saturday movie time. Could this girl look any cozier with her Daddy? I adore these two!

Joe and I took Abby to the first Women's Basketball home game of the season to support some students we work with and because sporting events are just fun. It was Abby's first and she was captivated by the action! She totally made up for any lack of school spirit in the room with her purple and gold. Check out all that purple! Not everyone can pull off purple pants. Go Great Danes!

At the half, she got a little treat. Who says she isn't ready for the movies? Look at her and her bucket of popcorn! :) On the way home, she just kept yelling "MOH. BALL.", which translated means "More Basketball". She didn't want to leave!

My Nagymama made Abby the sweetest sweater outfit, just like the ones she made me when I was little. It is absolutely adorable and this was the first time I put all of the pieces on at the same time. Are you wondering where my Michael Jackson reference comes in? I think the shoulders on the sweater look pretty MJ inspired to me!

Often I find Abby playing in her room like this...

It's not everyday you choose to eat dinner like a rockstar!

We are slowly starting the potty training process. Abby will sit on the potty for so long reading book after book after book. She is totally motivated by books and M&Ms. This girl knows what she wants and will do what it takes to make it happen! The other day she sat there for 45 minutes....

This was the scene afterward:

Sunglasses again and giving Daddy kisses goodbye.

Playing dressup = sunglasses, her "Buffy" purse and Mommy's shoes.

Highlight of last week: Kelly and Asher came for a visit! Abby thinks every baby she sees is an "Asher", so you can imagine how thrilled she was to have a REAL Asher in her house.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Before & After

Here is the blog post many of you have been waiting for! We closed on our house at the end of July and moved in at the end of August. We spent lots of hours working on the house and wouldn't have been able to get it all done without the generous help of so many friends and family. God placed such amazing people in our lives who gave their time, skills and resources to help us make our first house a home and we can't even begin to express how thankful we are!

As I posted each one of these photos, I was overwhelmed with God's provision and the transformation!
