Our Winter Water Getaway

When Daddy says he doesn’t need anything for his birthday and would rather make memories together, everyone gets to enjoy his gift one month later. Extra bonus: pretending we went somewhere warm for a night while bracing for our next March snowstorm.

Embrace it girl! It took Ella no time at all to find her cozy spot in the hotel room.

Everyone had a blast in the water!

After all the swimming and dinner, Juliet was definitely ready for bed. But, the big girls got to go downstairs to the arcade with their daddy.

Abby hit the ticket jackpot!

One of the best parts of hotels is piling in for bedtime snuggles with mommy and daddy.

This year, Abby conquered her fears of the body slides and learned to love them!

Winter Break and Sunshine

We spent winter break recharging and enjoying the fact that we had lots of days when we didn't have to wake up and get somewhere first thing in the morning. We even had an abnormally warm winter day that gave us the gift of time outside and fresh air! Truth: I love having all of my girls home together. LOVE!

Ollie does too!

Uncle Cory and Bella came to visit one afternoon and we took them to the park.

No jackets in February.  I'll take it.

The girls and I took a day trip to visit family. The girls spent the morning at Grandma's, while I grabbed breakfast with my dad. Juliet kept Grandma running all morning!

Then, we stopped at Papa's to check up on his car's latest progress. It's so fun to watch him build his shiny "baby" and be that much closer to seeing one of his dreams come true. The girls took turns behind the steering wheel of Nagymama's old Mercedes. My Nagypapa would have loved that moment.

A sign of a good day trip....instant car sleep before we hit the highway.

Thankful for these days and this little girl squad God has given us. 💗

Abby's 8th Birthday Party

Abby gathered her Unicorn Sister Squad just in time for her unicorn themed, jewelry making 8th birthday party!

As always, making the cake was one of my favorite parts! I think this unicorn wins for my favorite cake yet.

Our beautiful 8 year old!

This year, Abby invited ten friends to a party at the jewelry store where they learned about real jewelry making and made their own bracelets. The girls toured the store. We had pizza and cake. Abby wore a real diamond birthday tiara. Everything about the party was perfectly Abby!

The whole party was run by a professional jewelry maker.  Joe and I got to hang out with the parents. We had our rings polished and drank ginger ale out of fancy glasses. It was a pretty sweet Friday night! Kids and parents had an equally good time (which is usually pretty rare at kid birthday parties).

Love this sweet group of girls!

Somebody loved the bubbly ginger ale!

You can't see, but I had a unicorn shirt on too! :)

The girls got to tour the vault and hold a real gold bar.

Party night was extra special because Grammy was here to celebrate with us. She helped us get our tired unicorns to bed after a great party!
