Cerulean, Robin's Egg Blue, Dandilion, Fuschia....

Familiar words to a Crayola kid like me! Not to mention, those are also some of the best colors in the box. Oh man, do you remember the biggest box of 120 that had the built in sharpener? I've always been a bit of a crayon nerd. I'd get so excited on Christmas morning to open a brand new box. I can even remember the year I got the box that came in collector's tin. Did you know that certain colors even get retired as others are created? Apparently, I still love crayons just as much. There's still nothing like a fresh box of Crayola crayons....even when it's only the 24-count box. (In case you are a closet crayon nerd too!)

When Abby turned one, I sat her in my lap with a piece of paper and gave her one crayon. She made a few lines and then bit the tip off. Hmmm....now looking back maybe it was a little early. But, I've had a box of crayons in the drawer waiting to be broken into since I hit a great back-to- school sale three years ago. (just in case I wanted to color a picture...I needed to have some crayons around the house!) Anyway, one year was a few months too early.

Today, I decided to try again. It was a hit! I sat Abby up in the high chair and watched as my baby girl appreciated her coloring experience for the first time. Delight! It won't be long before we are doing crafts together everyday! hehe :)
