Roomie!

My college roommate (also known as "roomie") came from NYC to visit today! It was her first time meeting Abby. Jen and I were roommates for three years in college. Freshman to Junior year. Jen K and Jen P. Good times and great memories!

Last time we saw each other was last year at the beginning of November in New York City. Life was a little different then! :)

NYC-Nov 2009
VERY prego!

Fast forward to today...Jen meets Abby!

We went to dinner at the Lobster House in Cape May! It's our favorite. We had a great visit. Looking forward to Jen's visit to Albany in the fall. :)

Day off = a visit to the water park

On our day off, we visited the water park with some people from our staff team. Abby and I didn't stay very long, but managed to get a few cute pics of our day! It will be lots of fun when Abby is running around and can really enjoy the water park fun.

All dressed and excited to go

First time using the 'big girl' part of the stroller

Sesame Street: Elmo's Song

In case you wanted to watch Abby's favorite video for yourself!

Elmo's Song

Abby loves Elmo! We have let her watch a clip on Youtube called Elmo's song. It is three minutes of Elmo singing and playing the piano (accompanied by Big Bird and Snuffy of course!). Well when she started watching it, she would just watch the colors and enjoy the sounds. Now, she responds by watching intently and moving her arms and legs to the music. And in case we thought she wasn't paying THAT much attention, you should see what happens when we lose our internet connection and the video freezes up...let's just say Abby let's us know she isn't pleased.

Grammy brought her an Elmo doll when she came to visit. I am convinced that when Abby saw the doll, she knew he was the same character in her video! She was so excited when she got to hold him and eat his eyes.

On Tuesday, Grammy came to Wildwood for the day. We had lunch and dinner together and some good hang out time in between.

We went to lunch at Stewart's, which is one of my favorite boardwalk lunch spots. Classic cheeseburgers, a root beer float and 50's music playing. Good times! During lunch we sat Abby right up in between Grammy and her Daddy. She looks like such a big girl baby! I can't believe it.

I love that the camera captured for you a little of what we get to experience every day! Look at her fun little personality coming out...

When Abby sits on my lap, especially during a meal, she now reaches for everything in sight. If I turn for a minute and she reaches far enough for my plate, part of my dinner ends up in my lap. (that has happened every night this week) When I lift my glass to take a drink, she reaches for my glass with both hands. When I let her have it (with my assitance), she brings it right to her mouth and tries to suck the straw. Smart little one! SO...all that to say, when we were at dinner we thought it would be funny to see what she would do when we gave her a taste of the lemon. I think the pictures say it all! :)

tasting her first lemon...

What is that?!

Ugh, mom, get that away from me. Gross!

Sleeping in...

Class of 2010!

This past weekend, we traveled to Wappingers to celebrate Cory's high school graduation! It was a great time. I can't believe Cory is done with high school, starting college and on the path to become a police officer. So proud of him!

Class of 2010

can't believe 7 years have already gone by since I was walking across that stage!

Abby had lots of fun playing with her daddy during the ceremony.
