Ella loves to sing and the new Mandisa album has been playing in our house a lot this summer. I love hearing our sweet little girl belt out the encouraging lyrics that have been a theme song of mine this year!

I'm Still Here
by Mandisa
Yesterday
Had me knocked to the ground
Had me down for the count
My faith a million miles away
And I dropped outta sight
This overcomer, lost her
Will to fight
I know it's been a while since
Anybody see me smile and
Shame had me thinking it was
Game over
Thought my best days were gone, yeah
Turns out, that I was wrong 'cause
This is my comeback song, yeah
And by the grace of God
I'm still here
Hope is rising, waking up my soul
I'm still here
All my broken, turning beautiful
'Cause I feel my heartbeat beating
And my lungs breathe breathing
Guess my God's not done with me yet
I'm still here
All my yesterdays are gone
And the best is yet to come
Now I see
There's a reason I survived
There's a story still to write
His grace is working everything
Everything for my good
In a way that, only
He could
I know it's been a while since
Anybody's seen me smile and
Shame had me thinking it was
Game over
Thought my best days were gone, yeah
Turns out, that I was wrong 'cause
This is my comeback song
I'm still here (I'm still here)
Hope is rising, waking up my soul
I'm still here (I'm still here)
All my broken, turning beautiful
'Cause I feel my heart beat beating
And my lungs breathe breathing
Guess my God's not done with me yet (done with me yet)
I'm still here (I'm still here)
All my yesterdays are gone
And the best is yet to come
He lifted me up (He lifted me up)
Out of the pit
All glory to God
I will sing it again
He lifted me up (yeah)
Out of the pit
All glory to God
And the best is yet to come
The best is yet to come
I'm still here (I'm still here)
Hope is rising, waking up my soul (waking up my soul)
I'm still here (I'm still here)
All my broken, turning beautiful
'Cause I feel my heart beat beating
And my lungs breathe breathing
Guess my God's not done with me yet (done with me yet)
Our girls could seriously be in the bedhead hall of fame!
Juliet was all smiles when she woke up from her nap because her big sisters crawled right into her crib with her.
A journal entry Abby wrote about her trip to Florida
There were a million post vacation/pre birthday party things that needed to get done (like unpacking suitcases or doing those dishes), but then Abby asked me to sit with her and read my book while she read hers. I'm so thankful for these sweet moments.
The look of an excited birthday girl who just got a special birthday surprise in the mail from Grammy and G-Diddy: a whole box of French Macarons!!
Summer afternoons at the library...
Juliet learned how to return the library books.
We jumped on the slime wagon and made our own!

Juliet invited over her neighborhood friends over for a pool party.
She kept crawling up on the bench with me and asking me to pray. 😍

Everything is perfect when you get to eat a blue popsicle before 8 am.
Abby proudly eating her first gluten free pizza on a lunch date with Daddy!
Juliet's favorite summer activity was letting herself (and Oliver) out the screen door all by herself and hanging out on the deck.
It's always a good time when Mr. David comes to visit. The only thing missing was Ms. Anne! Joe and I even enjoyed a date night while the girls played chalk and introduced Mr. David to High School Musical.
Abby had her end of year field day and Joe volunteered!
Abby and Christine were twins.
Juliet is feeling "SO BIG" in her new front facing car seat.
It's a total blessing to have a husband who knows what you need more than you do sometimes. That was the case on my birthday this year. Joe knew I needed to celebrate more than I did. With the trials and adjustments I had been facing in the weeks leading up to my birthday, I was in the mood to let this one slide under the radar, which isn't really like me. But Joe gathered some of our good friends and Cory came up for dinner. I'm still amazed at how everyone rallied like that last minute to make my birthday extra special. I rounded out 31 with some very tangible reminders of just how precious life really is and we celebrated!
Morning walks with Mommy and Ms. Megan
Afternoon chalk and smoothies
First swim and popsicles of the season with friends
Abby had her end of the year Pioneer Girl award ceremony.
After the girls learned that I was the spider in the fifth grade play of Little Miss Muffet, they recreated their own version. 😎

Summer nights were filled with falling asleep in Mom and Dad's bed while reading Magic School Bus chapter books and memorizing facts about U.S. Presidents. I love this sweet sight.
Father's Day celebrations started with a good morning ambush in bed! The girls were so excited to give their daddy his gigantic Father's Day card.
Breakfast parfaits and a good book
An afternoon in the sprinkler
We finished the night with some good burgers (Joe's favorite kind of dinner) to celebrate the best dad our houseful of girls could ask for!
These girls LOVE their daddy!
