Slowing down

We've been reminded this week of the importance of slowing down and cherishing every moment we have together. We've been reminded that though many things try to distract us from what really matters, Jesus is the one we want to live for. We've been reminded to slow down once again. Family time and Christmas preparation was extra sweet this weekend as we reflected on how good our God is. Our perspective on the hurry and the worry changes so quickly when we remember that God did whatever it took to be with us. As Ann Voskamp said, "He climbed over the throne in heaven to get to you. Climb over the throne of Christmas to get to Him." By God's grace, we are making space this season. We are thankful for the gift of his presence and for the reminder to slow down.

Here are a few pictures of our slower weekend:

Yes that is a fireplace on our TV! :) The girls loved it. It was relaxing and played music.

Be still!
