2013

What it looks like when you ask your girls to pose for too many pictures

love this one

I love this little kissy face.

fake fireplace on the TV and Christmas music playing = time to dance

Yay! They are here! Let the celebrations begin

Nina kisses

After dinner, the girls opened their annual gift of Christmas Eve jammies and a new ornament.

Happy Birthday Jesus! Time for birthday cake!

After dinner, girls are in bed, time for Home Alone.
sweet moments

I love Christmas Eve!

everything ready for the morning

excited little girls woke up nice and early

stockings, breakfast and then presents!

Abby wanted to make sure I opened my gift from her first. She made me this sweet apron. It says "I LOVE YOU MOM BEST COOK" It really is true that these are the best kinds of gifts.

The girls opened their amazingly thoughtful gift from Nagymama: their new babies (Kristi and Kati) decked out in handmade outfits, their own diaper bags and baby carriers (also sewed by Mama).
Ella played with Kati all morning.

She really liked the idea of unwrapping gifts this year.

Abby was excited about her Leappad games and Leappad carrying case from Papa.

Dr. Ella would like to invite you over for a cup of tea with Elmo and Kati. A perfect glimpse at the new toys she played with all morning and now plays with all the time: her musical tea pot, Doc Mcstuffins doctor set, Hug Me Elmo (except when he gets too demanding...Ella does not let anyone push her around) and her new baby Kati.

Abby's baby, Annie, got a new ballerina outfit and ballet bar, so she could be just like her mommy who started taking ballet classes recently. Abby was really excited to teach Annie some moves.
It wouldn't be Christmas morning without Cory taking a nap after all the gifts are opened and his belly is full of my chocolate chip pancakes.

dressed up in clothes from her new fully loaded dress up bin and playing her new Leappad games

Dad modeling his new outfit and looking like a GQ ad.
Ella woke up from her nap just in time for Grandma and Casey to arrive.
Grandma time!
It was hard to convice the girls to pause in the midst of all of this excitement and eat lunch. For the last two years, on Christmas Day we have made an appetizer lunch spread with lots of delicious bites to choose from.

lots of new things to play with, but snuggling with Grandma is the best

We finally got one of the two of us.

Because this is who we are together.

It was a blessed Christmas filled with lots of great memories. I'm so thankful for our time together this year celebrating Jesus and enjoying our family. My heart is full.
