First, she colors a picture from her coloring book using lots of different colors. After making a pretty picture, she cuts it all up, makes piles of colorful confetti and puts the many small pieces in a cup. Then, she is ready for the game.
To play, you stick your hand in, pull out a handful of pieces, spread them out and sort the colors into piles. Each color represents a family member based on the person's favorite color. Then, Abby counts the pieces in each pile. That is the number of dates she decides she has to go on with that person.
Uncle Cory happens to be blue. Abby pulled three blues in her last game, so when we talked to Uncle Cory she informed him that he owed her three dates. How's that for girl logic? ;)
So, Uncle Cory planned a day trip to come up and take Abby (and Ella) on three dates. Thankfully, Abby's definition of a date can be something as simple as reading a book, so it wasn't hard to do all three in one day.
Date #1: Leappad time together
Date #2: Monopoly Jr.
| Cory loves any opportunity to go and get the girls when they first wake up. |
Date #3: Menchie's for fro-yo. Yum!
And I got to tag along the whole time. Mommy perk! I love when my brother visits. It's always lots of fun.
I'm pretty sure Abby colored an orange basketball recently, cut it all up and then grabbed a huge handful of orange pieces. Daddy better get ready! He's got lots of dates to plan!
