Spring is in the air!

With a new pup and spring in the air, we're enjoying all the newness that brings. This year, the warmer weather is really taking its time, so when the sun comes out and the temp makes it above 45, we can't get outside fast enough.

Last Sunday, Abby moved from the preschool room to Kid's Church. It's been an exciting change for her. She's in with the big kids now and loves sharing the new things she is learning with us on the ride home. When we are at church during the week for a small group, the girls are in a childcare room together. Recently, Abby has been a little clingy and not wanting me to leave when I drop then off (which isn't her norm). Sweetness is when Ella walks over to her big sister, takes her hand and says, "Mum Baa-bee (Come Abby)" as she leads her into the room and waves bye to me.

Abby and I started reading chapter books together. I love watching her absorb the story and imagine. And of course, I love the chance to read some of my favorite childhood authors again. The first chapter book we completed was Charlotte's Web.

Most nights the girls love bath time and now they have a frequent visitor to make it even more exciting.

Since Ella was a baby, I've noted how much she looks like my brother, Uncle Cory. I was seven when he was born, so I remember him clearly when he was this little. I catch glimpses of him in her all the time.  Can you see it in this split screen?
Two CUTE babies.
Two babies in bed for the night, so it's time for the third baby to get some quality snuggle time on his momma.

Oh what a face!
Daddy's home from work. All three kids are excited to see him!

Poor puppy needed a bath.  He's so cute...even when he looks like a wet rat.

Not only was it a beautiful spring day, but I got to spend it with one of my best friends. Kelly, Asher and Taryn made the drive to spend the day with us. We played, caught up, enjoyed the sunshine and once again dreamed about what life would be like if our families lived in the same zip code. We love these guys!

Ella is talking up a storm. Just this past week, she made the switch from Mama, Dada and Baba to this...

I ya you TOOOOOOOOOOOO! It doesn't get old! Melts our hearts every. single. time.

Aunt Cyncy came for a visit this weekend. We enjoyed every minute of our quality time with her. On Friday night, we enjoyed a great dinner out at Joe's Crab Shack. Saturday was cold and rainy, but we made the most of being inside with board games, looking through old photo albums, a belated birthday dinner for Aunt Cyncy and some basketball games. Sunday came too quickly! We had such a good time together that we already have her next visit planned out!

We love you, Aunt Cyncy!

A little Monopoly Jr. for our rainy Saturday
Ella helped Daddy play when it was his turn. You can hear more of her words in this little video.

Abby especially loved the Coconut Crunch Cake I made Aunt Cyncy for her birthday.

Ella is suddenly IN LOVE with puzzles. She disappeared off on her own the other day and I found her downstairs working on puzzles by herself. I love it! This was where she wanted to hang out this afternoon at the library:

The mystery of my beautiful girl's curly hair continues. My hair has always been pin straight, so I am totally in love with these darling curls that become more pronounced at different times of day.

Look at all those post naptime curls!
Ollie loves sleeping on this guy. It makes me wonder if it reminds him of his dog mommy.

The best way to finish up this post is with one of the loveliest renditions of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" around. I didn't even ask her to do this for the camera. I turned on the camera because this was happening for a good fifteen minutes this afternoon. This girl can sing!
